WE have been learning about nocturnal animals!

We had a visit from Sue Whitworth who visits schools to help us understand about nature and our environment.
We learned that most owls are nocturnal hunters. We disected owl pellets in the class today. What fun everyone had. We discovered that the short eared owl hunts in the day time and eats Orkney voles. We also made wee owls from clay. Look at our video clip to see how much fun we had.

  1. Congratulations to Miss Tait, Mr Taylor and all in Primary 2. Eileen's Grandma and Grandpa, in Peterborough, were delighted to see what you have been up to. We'd heard about the owl pellets now we understand what it was all about. Keep up the good work. We look forward to your next blog.
