Mascot Dancing

We've had another busy week in Primary 2!  Along with all our learning in maths and language we've also been learning about keeping ourselves safe when crossing the road.  We were learning how to cross the road properly and remembering to always try and hold an adults hand if we can when crossing the road.  We went to the playground to practice our road crossing!

Some of us pretended to be cars on the road and the rest of the class had to cross safely!

Here we are showing how to cross the road safely!

This week we also took part in a 'Glow Meet' about the Olympics.  Lots of other schools in Scotland were watching too.  We learned all about World Sports Day and took part in a quiz!  We also sent in a question and it got read out live! It was very exciting to hear them talking about Stromness and Orkney!  Here we are learning the 'Mascot Dance' with Wenlocke and Mandeville on the screen!

We will be practicing the dance again next week!
